About

I am Pamela Y. Bacon Campbell, proud and broken-hearted mother of Joe “JJ” Nathan Campbell Jr. who was diagnosed with AML Leukemia March 2006 one week before his 7th birthday.    Our journey of 8 years of hospitals, relapses, and tears but many, many laughs has made me a more compassionate person that is determined to help other parents who have experienced the devastating loss of losing a child heal.  Many have said that there is no greater pain of losing a child and there is no truer statement. The feelings of hurt, guilt and regret sometimes may be more than many parents can handle. I have found that family and friends don’t understand why we can’t just move on with our life.  My prayer is that JJ SMILES will become an integrate piece of parents wanting to LIVE, HEAL and especially SMILE again.
